‘It all really makes you wonder what the French were doing when they built this place.’ Stevan Spencer, the New Orleans Levee District’s chief engineer.
Blaming the French, are we? Seriously? They’re sore losers, we all know that. Their soccer team sucks. And their hatred for Lance Armstrong is childish. But I’m pretty certain that they’re […]

You’ve probably heard about Pat Robertson, fundamentalist extraordinaire, advocating the assasination of Hugo Chavez…
It’s so sad that there are still fools out there who believe in these people and their false prophets… who adhere to these outdated teachings, and believe in a sunny, cloudy heaven and a fiery lava-based hell… You’ll never get the most […]

You might want to skip this… it’s not a particularly special read… see, I’ve been celebrating (sort of) for the past week or so… I’ve hit a streak of amazingly good luck. Something I am no longer used to, and have learned not to expect…
First, I move in to a new flat in a new […]

I was going on proudly about how there were no sausages served at my party… I’ve tried not to change too much since I moved here… I still prefer whiskey to beer, steaks to sausages, shawarma to doener, pepsi to orange juice. I thought the party was a victory.
Last night, I had no plans. My […]

I’m in the middle of an all-nighter. I want to finish a major document that’s a milestone in my thesis’ process. I hopped on news.google.com for a quick news update… ok, I wanted to check the latest on MJ… and noticed that the World category had only news about plane crashes.
It’s so strange that in […]

World leaders should masturbate before crucial summits. That should take the edge off, and allow conflicts to be resolved faster.

I’ve added some links to good blogs that go well with my morning coffee and cigarette, this has been long in the making, I guess when real-life is good, the cyber one takes a hit.
Also, Maha would appreciate it if you take the survey on the right, she’s working on her thesis, and any data […]

M: “I’m telling you man, I realize now how hard it is to quit smoking… It’s been such a long time, and I still feel like it”
R: “Well… I don’t think it is, but you got what you want… you’re not smoking”
M: “But it’s harder than i though, it’s really an addictive drug”
R: “Quitting anything […]

It’s evolution, baby…. Yeah!

Sadly, in this day and age, evolution is not an agreed upon scientific fact anymore. Now, we have to pick a side, evolution or creationism. The development of sentient beings into what we are now, or a hocus-pocus project that big G undertook on a slow week. Let there be man. Let there be light. […]

I took a quasi-break from my online life these past few days… I had a major exam yesterday, one that I’d failed twice before, and absolutely had to pass this time in order to be able to register my thesis. (Also, because I only get three shots, and the fourth is an oral exam, and […]

So, I’m sitting outside, soaking in the rays and enjoying Hamburg’s summer (all 2 hours of it) when I hear a loud screech, followed by some crazy honking. I look around, stunned (the first time that a car makes any sort of sound in this nation of BMWs and Porsches). I hear people screaming and […]

Punk Rocker Chick called. I recall distinctly NOT having given my number away. The first moment was awkward, with my mind not registering the name being announced. After that, it was idle, light chit-chat for a few minutes. No particular objective from the phone call, but that didn’t make it any less ominous. PRC is […]
