Keanu Reeves assumes his usual ‘God-sent’ role, self-righteous angels fucking up, a hero diagnosed with metastatic cancer, Lucifer on acid, assorted demons, at one point waiting anxiously in an Emergency Room, and assorted angels spreading their wings occasionally… And a hot chick.
All that, and I haven’t spoiled it for you!
Seriously, I recommend this movie. It walks a strange path, treading heavily in religion, adventure, dark comedy, and pure realism… and the result… not bad at all…
Be prepared to watch this with an open mind. Once you get past the thrills, the action and the effects, you’re left with one thought (at least I was):
