It doesn’t feel like Lebanon
The Daily Star - Star Scene - Roger Edde hosts luncheon for Czech President Vaclav Klaus:
Not a very interesting article, except that it’s about my home town. One striking point though. One of the guests comments:
“Mary Cochrane agreed, adding that ‘it feels like you’re holidaying here: the pink umbrellas, the color-coordinated uniformed waiters - it doesn’t feel like Lebanon.’”
Too true. In a jumble of kitch and lack of organization that beach is somewhat of an oddity. Although others have criticized it for taking away the natural beauty of the region, I for one remember how ‘the region’ used to be a few years back and I think it’s an improvement….
Besides, it’s always cool to rub shoulders with the celebrities and stars…
No point to this post, except I miss home!
