Intuitive Overview of American counter-terrorism measures!
Recently, I’ve been reading The Wall Street Journal, European edition. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not much of an economist (despite an interest in the stock market). Most of the articles are too complex for me to actually understand. Therefore, I stick to reading general articles. On that level, I have devised a technique to quickly scan articles : If I don’t understand the first ten words of an article (excluding names and words less than 5 letters in length) I skip the article.Yesterday’s edition had a few interesting articles, noticabely about an Iraqi who has made a flourishing business of making pizzas for american soldiers in Baghdad. Nice Idea that 
The more interesting article that got me thinking stated that Opium was being cultivated again in Afghanistan, at levels surpassing those of the years of Taliban rule… now that got me thinking, the US want to “create democracy” in that region, and their major problem is Taliban and other fundamentalists. But drugs are normally associated with crime and whatnot…so what gives? Then I realized, the US is probabely encouraging cultivation! Think of it, they have a problem with terrorists… dedicated focused people whose only aim is to inflict pain and suffering on innocent people, and the US cannot properly fight them because of the landscape and their method of operation…..
so…. the alternative??? GET THEM HIGH! That’s right, smoke up! shoot in! it’s all good…. Terrorists on dope! Not too scary anymore, and while they’re on their “trips” they won’t be in any state to kidnap airplanes and fly them into the whitehouse, will they??
For once, US policy is making sense to me!!!!
